Happy Birthday Ryan!!

Ryan just turned 26!!!
When Ryan got home from work, we all went to dinner at Goodwood BBQ to celebrate! Cami didnt hold up well though. It is getting rather embarassing to take her out in public and we will probably need a babysitter for any future date nights. Aside from all the glares and scowls we got from the other customers, it was fun to celebrate together. After dinner, I surprised Ryan with going golfing. The weather held up and didnt rain (since the forecast said it was going to rain, this made us all very happy). It was just a tad windy but it was fun anyway. Ryan golfed 9 holes and Cami and I rode around in the cart. Cami had a blast. It got a little chilly so we put an adult-sized sweatshirt on her... HILARIOUS!!!! just a little big dont you think? Im just glad it was in the car!

Next time mommy will remember cami's sweatshirt :).
A couple more fun pictures from the golf course:

Cami and I also made a fun surprise cake (I baked, cami begged for scraps) My first time ever making anything besides just an ordinary cake, and I have to say it turned out pretty dang cute!!! It was a triple layer cake with a bottom layer of white cake, a middle layer of chocolate chip cookie, a second middle layer of brownie, and on top another layer of white cake with chocolate fudge frosting... YUMMY!!

Cami definitely enjoyed her piece:

And of corse I had to decorate the house!!!!

Everyone who knows Ryan knows that he has a great love for baseball... this is the first reason for the themed decorations and cake. The second reason for this is his birthday surprise.... A trip to Denver to see the Mariners play the Rockies. One of ryan's wishes in life is to go to a game in all of the baseball stadiums across the United States.. so I thought this would be a fun idea! So we packed up and off we went to Denver for a fun filled weekend!

Friday we went to the Denver Zoo to see all the animals! It was a blast. Cami only really noticed the ones that were moving.. haha. So it was really more fun for ryan and I than for Cami but thats ok. She had fun being pushed around in the stroller.... and chewing her shoe:

We also gave this a shot... so fun! Too bad we couldnt get her attention for the life of us...

I just love flamingos. They are so pretty! And I just love this picture!

Before leaving the zoo, we stopped by the souvineer shop and got cami a little stuffed animal:

Isnt he just SOOOO cute? Cami absolutely adores this little snow leopard!

Here are some fun pictures from the zoo.....
Ive never noticed this, but rhinos actually have pretty cute faces:

What a cute little wild fox!

Apparently, the camel and the peacock are friends?

He really was eating the bark off this tree...

I just LOVE LOVE LOVE Leopards. He was soooo gorgeous!

These monkeys were awesome!

This eagle was going crazy and talkin a whole bunch. It was funny!

Lastly and kind of gross I know but I had to take a picture because it was also funny:

Notice the thing on the left.. that is the butt of one of the monkeys. It is supposed to look like the one on the right. EWW.. infection much? Ryan and I laughed at this for a really long time! haha...

Friday night we went to the Mariners game. It was a 7:00 game so Cami was pretty tired by the 4th inning or so. She was a real trooper though and let us stay for most of the game. Unfortunately the mariners lost, but it was awesome to see Coors field. It is a BEAUTIFUL stadium!

Plus it was really sweet to be right behind right field and be so close to Ichiro:

And of corse we were all decked out in our mariners attire, and sitting in the rockies season tickets section.... haha. Kind of awkward but really fun! Here are a few fun pictures:
Notice how the guy on the left is looking at us? Maybe we were annoying him.....

Cami clapping because the mariners got a run! YAHOO!! GO MARINERS!

Saturday morning we went to the Hammond's candy factory. It was free to get in so that was pretty awesome! We took a tour and got to watch them make candy canes. They make hundreds of flavors of candy canes, I have never seen anything like it. After the tour, we went into the shop and bought some candy. I got an apple pie flavored candy cane, Ryan got a chocolate filled cherry candy cane, and we bought a big heart swirl.. here is a picture! It is huge!! OOOH and its wild cherry flavor! :)

I think that even with ryans daily cravings for sugar, this will take FOREVER to finish!
This was one of the racks of candy canes. Each bucket is a different flavor. There were 3 racks and each rack was double sided. CRAZY! I have never heard of that many flavors of candy canes!

Here we all are standing in front of their little delivery van. We had lots of fun here.

The lady who worked in the retail store gave cami a little stuffed kitty that sang a christmas song. She said it was broken and kept on singing so she gave it to us for free. We were of corse very excited and so was cami. Ryan and I's excitement wore off after about 15 minutes of hearing the same jingle repeated over and over.. :). Camis excitement involved screeching, bouncing and trying to eat her kitty. The difference between kids and adults really cracks me up sometimes. Kids are so much more lovable dont you think? haha

Saturday afternoon, we drove over to the Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

It was gorgeous!!! The scenery was unlike anything we had ever seen, the rocks were absolutely huge! Here are some great pictures we took:

A silly family picture from the top of the amphitheatre:

The scenery was AMAZING!!!! Im pretty sure you can see all of Colorado from up there!

After touring the amphitheatre, we went down to the caves and took some pictures:
Im pretty sure I have the most adorable husband in this world... yep! pretty sure!

Sunday was a more relaxed day. We slept in and went to the Denver Colorado LDS Temple in the afternoon. It was gorgeous. The grounds were beautiful with the fountain and all the flowers and we got some great pictures:

Our best attempt to get a picture of us in front of the temple... as you can see, it didnt work that great :)

My favorite one:

This is what cami did while we were out walking the grounds:

After going to the temple, we had a picnic at a nearby park. Cami had fun running around and playing on the fun playground:
She LOVED the swings!

She wasnt quite sure what to think about this little tunnel...

My two sweet doggies.. arent they too cute?

Mommy and her little honeybee!

LOOK! Cami is a dinosaur!

"Look at me! Im a big girl!"

He is so cute with her.....

Playing peek-a-boo behind the bars of the playset: She has the funnest little personality!

Monday we had to leave, but we had an awesome trip. This trip held a lot of firsts for Cami. It was our first family vacation, her first mariners game (and of corse her first hot dog, which she LOVED), her first pair of real shoes was purchased for this trip (even though she is constantly taking them off):

they are stinkin cute though arent they?
first trip to the zoo, and her first time sleeping in a real bed with mommy and daddy. She did great with the travel and we hope she will continue to do great with traveling :)

A few fun new facts about Cami are:
1)Since about a week ago, she is attached to her soft white blanket. It is really cute. The first time she showed attachment was in the morning when I went in to get her. She was holding it, and I moved it so I could pick her up... she cried and it was so sad :( Ever since then she just squeals and puts on her super happy face every time she sees it.
2)She has a real laugh now. Its hard to describe but ill try. Its really high pitched... so much that it hurts your hears, and it sounds much like the way adults laugh when something is flat out hilarious! And her laugh is just that... hilarious. Its contageous and sooooo stinkin cute!
3)She will mimic almost every sound that ryan and I make.
4)She is now starting to point at things and talk when she sees something she wants
5)She is SHY!!! This started about 4 days ago. Occasionally when people look at her and smile she turns her head and smiles all shy-like. It is SOOOOO CUTE!! It just kills me when she does it. Its so funny! On the same note, when a stranger looks at her, often times she will just stare blankly at them. Then we tell her to say hi and she smiles at them and waves. When they wave back, she squeals and hops up and down and gets really excited. I know im bias but she is the cutest baby in this world!
6)She takes every single toy out of her toy box, then climbs into it, sits down, and rocks back and forth. She also climbs into empty (or full for that matter) laundry baskets and does the same thing. HAHA!

7)She talks all the time. She points and talks to us as if we can understand. Its so cute to just talk back and see her expressions. She is very expressionistic and wears her feelings on her shoulder.
8)Speaking of feelings, she is very sensitive all of the sudden. She gets her feelings hurt very easily and just balls her face off if we tell her no. It looks much like this:

She is so much fun and has so much love for everyone. Here is her way of saying "I love you"

Here is a really fun picture of her that has become my new favorite:

Yes... she still loves cords:

And books!....

And the entertainment center:

That is just what it is to her..... an entertainment center. Im pretty sure thats how it got its name :)

Anyways.. thats what we did for Ryans birthday. It was awesome. I have the greatest husband, and the sweetest cutest daughter in the world and im so grateful for both of them. They bring so much happiness to my life. Thanks for being such an amazing husband, Ryan! Happy Birthday sweetheart!
